Project Description
Situated within the vibrant Houston neighborhood of Montrose, this two-level residence features a vertically duplicative program that subverts the conventions of a single-family home. Both externally and internally, the architectural strategy that shapes and organizes domestic space is derived from a pedagogical methodology of formal iteration. The sequence begins with a series of deformations, which are applied to a primitive geometry in two dimensions. Subsequently, the product of these operations is oriented as the organizational model for domestic program.
